The East North Renovation and Addition was originally a Sunday House. According to the Texas State Historical Association, Sunday houses were small second dwellings maintained near a church as a weekend place of residence. They became popular in the late 1800s among farmers and ranchers who lived in areas too remote to permit commuting to services. Steeped in a rich history, the owners of this renovation wanted to keep the character in this dwelling as much as possible and use the bones of the structure as well as the original flooring. The renovation contains a modern kitchen and a cozy living space area. A modern bathroom with a standup shower was created in the addition along with a walk-in closet and spacious bedroom for the residents.
